The Society is pleased to announce its’ next meeting of 2024:
We had such a success at our last meeting with the duo of Tracy Cantin and Leila Kirves that we have another duo for you in quick succession.
On Tuesday, February 6th, Christopher Purves and David Leigh will be joining us at the Arts and Letters Club (with option for zoom) for a discussion about their Art and Careers. A ‘Meet and Greet’ will follow.
THE ARTISTS; both have experience with a wide variety of super roles. Christopher Purves, bass-baritone, is currently appearing with the COC in Cunning Little Vixen. He will be singing Alberich in the current Zurich Ring and has experience with Stravinsky, Handel, and a wide variety of other composers. David Leigh, bass, is currently appearing with COC in Don Giovanni. Previously, he appeared with us in Hadrian, and was scheduled for our cancelled Parsifal (other Wagner roles have been Fafner, Konig Marke, and also Hagen in the current Zurich Ring), but he has also sung roles of many other composers.
