Upcoming Meeting: October 9th 2025 with Russell Braun

On October 9th at 7:30 p.m. the Society will be hosting baritone Russell Braun. He recently made his conducting debut with the Edmonton Opera, conducting Die Walküre. He will be discussing conducting Wagner, especially as his first opera.

We welcome members, and non-members, in person at the Arts and Letters Club, in their Board Room on the second floor.

Members have free access to the meeting, non-members (both in-person and virtual) are asked to pay a small fee ($10) for access.

Baritone and Conductor Russell Braun has graced the stages of the world’s finest musical venues. Since his debut with the Canadian Opera Company 25 years ago, he has become known for his luminous voice and sensitive interpretations. 
Now teaching at the University of Toronto, he is highly regarded for his warm and generous support of the next generation of singers and for his commitment to performing the work of Canadian composers. He was awarded the Order of Canada in 2018.
