There are two upcoming meeting of the Toronto Wagner Society:

1. Monday September 18th, and Tuesday September 19th, 2017: A complete showing of Bayreuth’s highly acclaimed new production of Die Meistersinger directed by Barrie Kosky.  Since it is quite long, we are showing it over two evenings so that members can get to see the entire opera.   The screening will take place at the Arts and Letters Club, 14 Elm Street and both evenings start at 8 p.m.  Both evenings are open to the public.

   Also, our annual general meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday September 18th.  Admission to the annual general meeting is restricted to Society members.

2. Monday October 16th, 2017 at 8 p.m.:  Tomasz Konieczny, who sings Mandryka in COC’s Arabella, also noted for his Wagnerian roles Alberich, Kurwenal and Amfortas joins us in discussion.  The meeting takes place at the Arts and Letters Club, 14 Elm Street.  This meeting is open to the public, with a $20 donation (members of the Society may attend for free.)
