Toronto Wagner Society Announces its Fall 2018 Schedule

The Wagner Society is pleased to announce the following upcoming meetings for the fall:

On September 17th, the Society opens its 2018-19 season with a roundtable entitled “My Favourite Wagner Productions.”  The roundtable will feature several members of the society discussion their favourite productions of Wagner operas.  Video clips from these productions will be shown at the meeting.

The Society’s Annual General Meeting, which is only open to members, will take place immediately prior to this meeting, starting at 7 p.m.

Following this, on October 15th, the Society will host a roundtable with Ben Heppner and Karita Mattila discussing the Wagnerian roles they have performed.  All three members are in town performing with the Canadian Opera Company in their production of Hadrian.

And finally, on November 19th the Society will be showing highlights of the new production of Lohengrin which opened at the Bayreuth Festival this year.

Our meetings all start at 8 p.m. (with the exception of the Annual General Meeting) and take place at the Arts and Letters Club, 14 Elm Street (just north of Dundas, off Yonge Street.)  Access to the meetings are free for members, and non-members are more than welcome for a donation of $20.
